1.      Ensure a strategic and targeted approach to functional vocational training based on needs identified through active involvement of the community and community based organisations.

 

2.      Reach out to communities and provide targeted training, based on identified needs for viable trades and skills, which will lead to employment of marginalized.

 

3.      Create awareness among wide range of actors and stakeholders on the importance of functional vocational training in the context of unorganized sector.

 

4.      Build the capacity of staff and partners to manage the programme and ensure professional coordination, effective monitoring and evaluation and quality in reporting

 

5.      Engage in advocacy and lobbying at various levels.

 

6.      Mobilize local resources for skill training activities

 

7.      Create a databank for information dissemination

 

8.      Bring out replicable models by responding to emerging new opportunities

 

9.      Dialogue with policy makers, organize roundtable conference, seminars, workshops, rallies, public gathering on issues of vocational training and livelihood development

 

10. Undertake studies/research on the existing grassroots situation, rules, regulations and laws on vocational training and livelihood development in Bangladesh.

 

11. Promote the YOUTH NETWORK to represent the interests of school dropout and illiterate youth in Bangladesh, regional and international levels.

 

12. Undertake pilot projects

 

13. Prepare briefs, newsletter, reports and produce TV and Radio spots on of vocational training and livelihood development

 

14. Produce articles, features, photo-features and special supplements for the dailies, weeklies and periodicals.

 

15. Undertake any other activities whatever YOUTH NETWORK considers important to uphold the interests of school dropout and illiterate youth in Bangladesh including educated unemployed or other similar category.
